The Complete Brochure Design Guide for Indian Businesses in 2026

A well-designed brochure is still one of the most powerful marketing tools for Indian businesses. This complete guide covers layout, content, print specs, and design best practices.

The Complete Brochure Design Guide for Indian Businesses in 2026

In an age of digital marketing, the humble brochure remains one of the most effective tools for Indian businesses — especially in B2B sales, real estate, healthcare, and education sectors where clients want something tangible to take away.

Choosing the right format. The most common brochure formats are the bi-fold (4 panels), tri-fold (6 panels), and Z-fold. For most businesses, the tri-fold is the most versatile — it fits in an envelope, a pocket, and a display stand.

Structure your content strategically. The cover must grab attention and communicate your core value proposition immediately. The inside panels should tell your story — services, benefits, proof points. The back panel should contain your contact details and a clear call to action.

Typography hierarchy is everything. Use a maximum of two typefaces. Your headline font should be bold and attention-grabbing. Your body font should be clean and highly legible at small sizes. Never go below 9pt for body text in print.

Colour and brand consistency. Your brochure should be an extension of your brand identity. Use your brand colours consistently and ensure there is sufficient contrast between text and background for readability.

Images make or break a brochure. Use high-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI for print). Avoid generic stock photos — real images of your products, team, or completed projects build far more trust.

Print specifications to know. For standard A4 brochures printed in India, use CMYK colour mode (not RGB), add 3mm bleed on all sides, and embed all fonts before sending to the printer. Paper weight: 130–170 GSM for standard brochures, 250+ GSM for premium.

Digital brochure considerations. If you are creating a digital PDF brochure, optimise file size for email (under 5 MB), use RGB colour mode, and include clickable links and contact details.
